I got inspired to write this pattern when I saw a crocheted version that my friend made. Such a simple idea and so easy to knit. Great project to knit quickly watching TV, to give as an ornament exchange party or to make many to decorate your entire tree. Great use of scrap yarn as well.

The ornament is knitted using two needles, flat or back and forth, and then sewn together. Great project to knit quickly watching TV, to give as an ornament exchange party or to make many to decorate your entire tree. Great use of scrap yarn as well.
Materials:
• 40 yards of fingering yarn in white (A)
• 40 yards of fingering yarn in red (B)
• 40 yards of fingering yarn in gold (C)
• 6 inches ribbon for hanging ornament (optional)
• Scissors
• 2.5 inches plastic Christmas ball
• US #1 (2.50 mm) double pointed needles
• tapestry needle
