Judy’s Alpaca Scarf

This scarf is so versatile! It is reversible, easy to knit and stays around your neck as snug as you want it to be! You might choose to knit one, two or no pockets to insert the ends of the scarf in.

Also, you get the pattern of a knitted flower to embellish it. You can turn it into a brioche, so you may wear it with other garments. Even though I recommend alpaca because of the drape, you can choose any fiber and any gauge. The pattern it is knitted flat (back and forth), has one set up row and all the other rows are the same.

• Size: One size fits all. I give you two widths to choose from: 6.25” and 10” wide (in parenthesis).
• Finished length: 48 inches long.
• Materials: One skein of worsted weight yarn (StoneyHedge Alpaca Yarn/ 500 yards) or any worsted weight yarn of your preference.
• Gauge: 17 sts/ 4 inches over brioche stitch. Gauge is not critical in this project;
• Needles: US # 9 (straight or circulars) or size to obtain gauge.
• Experience Level: Intermediate
